Manigordo
Rayito
I am another ocelot, my name is RAYITO. When I was a newborn a lady found me near the Playa Ostional in Carrillo, she believed that my mother abandoned me or was killed. That lady took me to the officials of Tempisque Conservation Area (SINAC-MINAET), who looked after me for a while and then moved me to the Rescue Center in November 2009. I have eye problems (cataracts) and my bones were very weak. They have given me a better quality of life and I have survived.
Max
My name is MAX, I arrived to the Rescue Shelter in August of 2012. I was rescued by staff of the Arenal-Tempisque Conservation Area (SINAC-MINAET) when he was 10 months old. A family rescued me from the side of the road and kept me at their home, they thought I could be their pet. They didn’t know I had needs; I was fed with cooked meat, which made me sick. Today I have a very similar space to the natural forest where my mother used to live. I could not be returned to my natural habitat because I'm used to humans beings.
