Kira y Tres Patas
We are black jaguarundis, also in the wild is a reddish color. I am the oldest, TRES PATAS. I arrived to the Shelter 14 years ago. I was captured on a farm in Aguas Claras, Upala; because I was eating chickens. When I fall into the trap, my front leg suffered an accident, and has to be amputated. In October 2011, they brought KIRA, the smallest one. She was taken to a hotel in Playa Tamarindo. Her hind legs present deformities due to the conditions in which she was kept, in a very small cage with poor diet. Now we accompany and play fairly. Due to limitations in our limbs we can’t be released, we won’t be able to survive in the natural forest.
